The SY HD-3.5AD is a compact HDMI audio de-embedding (audio extraction) device designed to split embedded HDMI audio into an external analogue output while maintaining full HDMI video pass-through. It also functions as an HDMI repeater, helping to re-clock and stabilise the HDMI signal for improved reliability over longer cable runs.
It is primarily used in legacy HD AV systems (up to 1080p) where audio needs to be fed separately into an amplifier or external sound system while video continues to a display or projector.
